Hi, I'm Gabe
I'm a self-taught software engineer with a formal electrical engineering degree (BYU '21, GPA 3.87, and the fundamentals are load-bearing). That combination means I cover the stack in the literal sense: I've designed PCBs and radar integrations, and I've spent years sweating the last pixel of production UIs. Everything in between I taught myself, back before AI could autocomplete a for-loop.
For the last 4+ years I've been the lead developer on a digital therapeutics platform, where I designed and built a no-code app editor: clinicians drag and drop React components, apps are stored as JSON and rendered live, and the whole thing ships to web, iOS, and Android from a single codebase.
I like software that regular people can actually use, and I believe an interface can be serious without being boring. See: this entire website.

Lead Software Developer Dec 2021 – nowLead (and longest-serving) engineer on a digital therapeutics platform that lets clinicians build app-based treatment programs for their patients. I own the UI architecture end to end: the drag-and-drop editor, the shared component library (React + StencilJS), and the patient apps. One React + Capacitor codebase, rendered to web, iOS, and Android.
